Today we ventured out on a sea kayak. We really lucked out that the beach closest to us has great snorkeling and a place to rent anything you want on the water. We took the kayak out for 2 hours, first going to a secluded beach right around the rocks that you can only get to by boat. We docked our kayak on the sand and went for a swim. After we got out of the water, we spotted something swimming around and soon realized it was 2 or 3 somethings that looked like baby sharks right where we were just swimming. We stayed for awhile just watching them and then realized the waves were getting stronger and we would need to plan accordingly to get past the waves without tipping. Neither of us wanted to fall in the water where we saw the baby sharks swimming. Yes, we are afraid of sharks, even small ones.
We watched the wave pattern for awhile and figured out that about 5 big waves would come in and then we would have about 2 minutes or so to get in our boat and paddle past the breaks before we got pushed back in or over. With a little adrenaline rush, we did it and just barely made it over before the one wave broke.
