We felt our very first tremor! Being from Florida, we have never experienced any kind of earthquake activity so it was pretty crazy to us. It was small, but we both jumped up and started heading towards the doorway. I think our hearts our still racing! At first Kevin thought there was an animal under the couch. Needless to say we have been on the computer reading about earthquakes and what to do during a quake. What rookies!
Besides the shaky-shaky, we went to our first Costa Rican asado on Thursday night. We saw Batman, en espanol, last night with our neighbors and their car wouldn't start after the movie. Finally at 1:00 a.m. when we all realized it wasn't something we could fix, we walked toward the city center to find a taxi home. At least the car wasn't stuck in a river!
Brooke got the job with Berlitz and will be teaching English. She leaves for training on Monday and will be in the capital, San Jose, for 2 weeks.
